Dupont Manual Service Learning Project

Give Now

Our Project

We are students at DuPont Manual High School, performing a service learning project (SLP) as a group. Our specific project focuses on food insecurity, and helping those in need to get acess to a basic necissity of life. Through service on both a local and global scale, we seek to learn about the hardships of others, and do all that we can to help those in need, heightening our education in the process.

You can help too! 87% of the money that you donate will be sent by Mercy Corps to families and individuals all around the world. The money that you donate will help these people to provide food for themselves and for their families, allowing them to live a better life. We can make a difference!

About Mercy Corps

"Mercy Corps is a leading global organization powered by the belief that a better world is possible. In disaster, in hardship, in more than 40 countries around the world, they partner with locals to put bold solutions into action — helping people triumph over adversity and build stronger communities from within. Now, and for the future."

Mercy Corps will work with local communities to find innovative solutions and the resources they need to create a better life for their families.

How Your Donation Can Help

Here are some examples of how every dollar we contribute helps communities survive, and transform crisis into opportunity:

  • $10 can train a farmer how to dig and maintain a fish pond in Timor-Leste, which provides food and income

  • $20 can provide 2 years of training to one farmer in Eastern Congo to increase production of nutritious foods

  • $48 can directly benefit a female factory worker in a Chinese coastal area by providing a packaged training on health, life skills and financial literacy

  • $65 can provide training and transportation for a Syrian young adult to learn trade skills such as hair cutting and sewing

  • $125 can be used to plan for efficient water management, land and natural resources in Colombia to improve the production and quality of coffee

On behalf of the men, women and children who are counting on our support - thank you.
