Give Now

Vitol Foundation is a leader in supporting communities in the aftermath of natural disasters. Employees' support in the wake of emergencies, like the mudslides in Mocoa, allow trusted partners like Mercy Corps to assess needs, respond quickly and provide ongoing support to help victims after immediate needs have been met. Mercy Corps has been working in Putumayo, Colombia for 11 years and will be coordinating with the government and other humanitarian organizations to fill any gaps in the response to this tragedy and help the people of Mocoa build back stronger.

Mercy Corps has responded to almost every major natural disaster in the last 20 years, and their seasoned emergency responders work through conflict, distribute critical supplies and protect families uprooted by ongoing violence or displaced by disaster.

Help support Mercy Corps’ life-sustaining work with a gift to Vitol Foundation's fundraiser. Vitol will be matching all gifts made by their employees, doubling your impact on people affected by disaster and working to rebuild their lives. Here are some examples of how every dollar we contribute helps communities survive, and transform crisis into opportunity:

  • $15 can provide shelter, a first aid kit and hygiene supplies to a family in the wake of a natural disaster.
  • $25 can supply emergency school kits so children at temporary schools in South Sudan have resources for effective learning so their education isn’t stalled by conflict
  • $50 can provide a woman-led Somalia household of six people with two weeks' subsistence by providing essential services and goods like food, water and hygiene items
  • $80 can provide one month of critical humanitarian assistance to a family displaced by armed conflict in Colombia
  • $100 can help provide shelter to a family who lost their homes to conflict

On behalf of the men, women and children who are counting on our support — thank you
